The Missionary Formation Conference is a three-day spiritual immersion that distills the heart of the Missionary Formation Institute’s comprehensive curriculum into a focused and transformative experience. Rooted in the Church’s missionary mandate and animated by the Holy Spirit, this intensive gathering invites participants to deepen their understanding of:

The sanctity and inviolable dignity of every human person.

The divine urgency of the Church’s mission to proclaim Christ to all nations.

The art and grace of preaching the Gospel with clarity, conviction, and pastoral sensitivity.

With a spirit of unity and inclusivity, instruction is tailored to the linguistic needs of each hosting diocese—offering bilingual presentations or simultaneous translation to ensure full accessibility and engagement for all participants.

This conference is more than formation—it is a call to holiness, a commissioning of missionary disciples, and a renewal of the Church’s evangelizing fire.

The missionary formation conference is a distilled essence of the Institute’s comprehensive curriculum, presented over a three-day conference. This intensive session emphasizes key principles such as the sanctity of human dignity, the imperative of Mission, and the development of vital preaching skills. Instruction is tailored to the linguistic needs of the hosting dioceses, offering either bilingual presentations or providing simultaneous translation to ensure accessibility and engagement. 

The conference will offer workshops on effective preaching techniques, sessions on human dignity and mission, and community engagement activities that encourage faith-based outreach and service. Through this program, participants will be empowered to bring their faith to life in meaningful and impactful ways.

The conference is set to take place annually across New York, New Jersey, Indiana, California, and Texas. It anticipates an increase in attendance, scaling from 50 to an estimated 150 participants each year. Upon conclusion, attendees will be tasked with formulating a strategic action plan, detailing the application of acquired skills within their respective Latino communities
